Yesterday, a rumor spread on social media about IITian Baba Abhay Singh, popularly known as IIT Baba Abhay Singh, that he has left Mahakumbh 2025. However, he himself denied these reports late on the night of Friday, January 17. Abhay Singh has accused the sadhus of the ashram of spreading rumors about him. In which it was said that Abhay Singh had suddenly gone to some unknown place from 16 Madi Ashram of Juna Akhara during the Maha Kumbh Mela. What did Abhay Singh say? Speaking to Sanjay Sharma associated with India Today Group, Abhay Singh said, “They had spread false news about me. They (the operators of Madi Ashram) had asked me to leave from there at night. Now he felt that he had become famous. If he comes to know anything, he will go against us. So he said something that I have gone into secret meditation from there. Those people are talking nonsense like that.”
He was constantly drunk…’ Let us tell you that earlier, other sadhus present in 16 Madi Ashram of Juna Akhara had expressed concern about the mental condition of Abhay Singh. He had said- “Abhay Singh was giving interviews continuously. He was constantly drunk and had started considering himself the greatest scholar and saint. This was affecting his mind and he also said some things to the media which were not appropriate. He was also taken to Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avadheshanand Giri of Juna Akhara. Seeing the mental condition of Abhay Singh, Juna Akhara decided that he should leave the ashram and after this late in the night Abhay left the ashram.”
‘I don’t have any one guru…’
After this, late night Abhay Singh told Aaj Tak,
“How did anyone know about my mental condition? No science can find out like this. Regarding his Guru, he said that I do not have any one Guru. Everyone from whom I have learned something is a Guru.”
Saint Someshwar Puri of Juna Akhara had claimed that he is the guru of IITian Baba alias Abhay Singh. Someshwar Puri told Aaj Tak that Abhay had found him wandering in Varanasi, then he brought him to his ashram. On this Abhay Singh said that no one is my guru. Everyone from whom one has learned is a Guru.
