Drug trafficking suspect refused to surrender when being chased, continuously shooting at police
New Hampshire officials have released video showing a suspect being shot and killed by police after opening fire on officers.
Douglas Heath, 38, was driving away from police in August when he accidentally crashed into a building, according to the New York Post.
Heath was a suspect with three arrest warrants, including one related to drug trafficking.
The video shows police trying to chase and arrest Heath. After driving into the building, Heath got out of the car and lay on the grass, holding a gun.
Police repeatedly told Heath to “put the gun down,” but he stubbornly fired multiple times at the officers.
Police officers eventually shot Heath, resulting in his death.
The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has ruled that the shooting was a justifiable police shooting.
