Such a system installed for the first time for crowd management
The Uttar Pradesh government has said that such a step is being taken for crowd management for the first time. This will help in avoiding untoward incidents in crowded places. Let us tell you that on January 29, there was a stampede in the Kumbh Mela, due to which 30 people died. After this, the fair administration has become more vigilant.
CCTV cameras and AI devices will keep an eye
According to the information, 2,750 CCTV cameras and 250 AI devices are being used in this surveillance system. With their help, the crowd will be monitored. The AI system will keep informing the command center about the crowd, movement of people, parking status and gathering of people at particular places. With their help, the administration will have real-time information and if it sees any danger anywhere, it will issue an alert in time. The police say that it is considering taking the help of this system in future events.
400 personnel to monitor CCTV feed
Personnel have been deployed to monitor CCTV feed in the command center. They continuously monitor the feed coming from 25 sectors of the fair. Apart from this, the frequency of the public announcement system has also been increased.
