PM Kisan Yojana 19th Installment: The wait of crores of farmers of the country who are waiting for the 19th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is going to end today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to transfer the 19th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi to 9.80 crore small and medium farmers across the country by pressing the button in Bhagalpur, Bihar today on 24 February 2025. The Prime Minister has a program in Bhagalpur at 2 pm from where he will transfer the amount of Rs 2000 directly to the bank accounts of the farmers.
Agriculture and Farmer Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also participate in this program along with the Prime Minister. Earlier, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that a nationwide mega Kisan Samman Samaroh is being organized in Bhagalpur. In this conference, the Prime Minister will transfer Rs 2000 to the bank accounts of farmers under the 19th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. He informed that in the last 18th installment of PM Kisan Yojana, Rs 20,665 crore was given by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. On February 24, about 9.80 crore farmers will be transferred about Rs 22,000 crore in the 19th installment to the bank accounts of farmers.
He said that the Prime Minister will transfer the 19th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to the accounts of farmers with a single click from Bhagalpur on February 24, 2025. Till now, money used to go to the accounts of about 9 crore 60 lakh farmers from this fund. This time an amount of Rs 22 thousand crore will be transferred to about 9 crore 80 lakh farmers. The Agriculture Minister said that about two and a half crore farmers will join this program physically and virtually.
Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Rs 6,000 is given directly to the bank accounts of farmers annually in three installments. Since the launch of the scheme, about Rs 3.46 lakh crore has been deposited in the accounts of farmers. As soon as the 19th installment is released, a total of Rs 3.68 lakh crore will reach the farmers’ accounts. Small farmers used to face problems of fertilizers and seeds at the time of sowing and they had to take loan on interest to meet their needs. Farmers meet the necessary expenses related to agriculture from this fund. According to the study done by IMPRI on PM Kisan, the amount received under this scheme has solved the problems of farmers and has helped in removing the obstacles in taking loan.
