Saif Ali Khan Attacked News | Mumbai News Live Updates: Actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times during a burglary attempt at his Mumbai residence early Thursday morning. Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital hospital in an auto-rickshaw with the knife still lodged in his back around 2.30 am, sources told The Indian Express. Mumbai Police have registered an FIR invoking non-bailable sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita against the accused.
The actor sustained six stab wounds, including two deep cuts on his back—one dangerously close to his spine—and a minor injury on his neck.Doctors at Lilavati Hospital say the actor is out of danger and his condition is stable. “A knife lodged dangerously close to his thoracic spine was successfully removed during neurosurgery,” Dr Nitin Dange, one of the neurosurgeons said.
According to a police official, the intruder broke into the actor’s residence and got into a physical altercation with him. Some family members were reportedly present at the time. Khan sustained knife injuries but is out of danger.
While a senior police officer acknowledged the possibility of a robbery, they refrained from providing further details due to the ongoing investigation. Bandra police have initiated an inquiry following their swift response to the incident.
