According to the report of Krishna Gopal Raj associated with Aaj Tak, this case is from Fatehganj West police station area of Bareilly. Shumayla Khan was a teacher in the primary school of Madhopur area here. Shumayla, a resident of Rampur district adjacent to Bareilly, was selected in BTC on the basis of merit. After doing BTC training, she got appointment in 2015 on the post of assistant teacher. The first posting was in Madhopur area of Fatehganj West area.
BSA Sanjay Singh, while giving information to the media, said that complaints were being received about teacher Shumayla Khan for a long time. After this, documents were sought from the teacher during the initial investigation, but she could not produce the correct documents. After the initial investigation, the teacher was suspended in May 2024.
According to officials, a detailed investigation of the case started after this. During this, on the basis of information from the Local Intelligence Unit (LIU), it was learned that Shumayla is a citizen of Pakistan, she got the job by hiding the facts through a forged residence certificate. Shumayla Khan had submitted a residence certificate issued from the office of SDM Sadar, Rampur during the appointment. After investigation it was found that the certificate is wrong. Shumayla is actually a citizen of Pakistan.
BSA Sanjay Singh said that after the completion of the investigation, the teacher has been dismissed because the woman does not have any concrete proof of citizenship of the country. It is very important to have these documents for the job. According to BSA, the teacher’s service was terminated as soon as the verification report was received from the Rampur administration.
How did Shumayla reach India?
According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, Shumayla, born in Pakistan, came to India with her mother after her birth, her mother started living in Rampur. She did not get citizenship here. After this, the mother got her daughter’s birth certificate made here. Shumayla studied in Rampur itself. After this, Shumayla gradually got all the documents made in the country. According to the report, the date of birth in the PAN card found with Shumayla is recorded as August 5, 1981. Father’s name is written as Sitawat Ali Khan.

North Bareilly area SP Mukesh Chandra Mishra said that the local block education officer has given a complaint in Fatehganj West police station. In this, he has told that Shumayna Khan, daughter of SA Khan of Rampur, has got appointment on the post of assistant teacher by submitting fake residence certificate. She has been suspended. A case has been registered against Shumayla Khan in Fatehganj West police station under sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471. The matter is being investigated, after this investigation, appropriate action will be taken against the accused teacher.
